I have owned this drum since I was a teenager.  I kept this fiberglass 23" Machine because it is such a good utility drum you can add to a pair if you need a few higher notes.  Very easy to move around and fits very easily in any vehicle-even in the front passenger seat.   And since it is fiberglass, it is easily carried by me or by any one person.  Tuning is done with a hand-crank tuning handle, and there is also a Ludwig standard hoop activated tuning gauge installed on the shell.
