1990's Pearl "SensiTone", chrome over brass, 5" x 14"

 

This drum never became available for sale in the United States.  Pearl USA must have had a limited number of these, and decided to liquidate them to a few select dealers.  The instrument sounds wonderful, and shares the characteristics of both metal and wood.  This drum is a real treasure, and gets a lot of playing time.  The tube style lugs and die cast hoops just add to the beautiful tone and the shimmer of the chrome plating!
