1975 Rogers Dyna-Sonic, chrome over brass, 5 1/2" x 14"

 

 Rogers Dyna-Sonics have re-emerged as of lately.  This drum uses a floating action snare assembly that allowed the snare wire tension to be adjusted separately from the strainer knob tension.  The result was a drum with a crisp and snappy sound without over-tightening and choking the snare strainer knob.   A truly uniquely designed snare drum.  This was my very first professional snare drum gifted to me by my parents.
