Rogers Dyna-Sonic, chrome over brass, 5 1/2" x 14"

 I have owned this drum since I was 13.  The infamous Dyna-Sonic.  No other snare drum has the unique snare wire assembly, which allows for the snare wires to be stretched tightly across the head without choking the bottom head.  The brass shell cuts real nice through any ensemble. This instrument is an acquired taste though.  It's much drier and not as forgiving as a conventional snare. 

Rogers snare drums have had a resurgence in recent years.  This is a lot of drum!
