Pearl Soprano, maple, 7" x 13"

 

   Pearl was one of the first manufacturers to create a soprano snare drum. The 12" diameter matched up with the 7" depth created a very interesting and unique sound. I replaced the old high tension lugs with chrome plated brass tube style lugs.  The drum was only offered in this orange-maple color, and is still a current model being offered for sale today. I have used this drum as a secondary side snare as well as a primary snare when I want a little less snare drum presence and spread.
