1998 Noble & Cooley "Alloy Classic" aluminum, 4" x 14"

 

 This wonderful instrument was purchased by me in 1998, and I asked Carol at N&C to send me serial # 98 to commemorate the year!  This is an aluminum alloy drum that is powder coated in black, along with the hoops and hardware.  This drum has crack that will cut through any playing situation, but also has a warm texture.  Noble & Cooley are best known for their solid wood shell drums, but they really touched on something really special when they built this aluminum drum!
