Alheckers Limited Edition, maple, 4" x 14"

 

    This is a completely handmade instrument that was constructed in a self built wooden shell mold that Al designed from scratch.  The 3 ply thin shell gives this drum plenty of resonance and brightness.  Outfitted with smokey chrome tube lugs and hoops and a Tama strainer, the craftsmanship on this instrument surpasses most machine mass produced drums.  I have had many a musician compliment me on the sound.  Finished off in a festive "tropical fruit punch" stain and sprayed lacquer clear coat, this drum truly is one of a kind….except for the builder who has the original prototype!!!
