These drums seemed interesting enough, but I wasn't sure I could get a good kick/bass drum sound out of a 16" floor tom.  I've customized the bass drum by adding Yamaha vintage hoops to both sides. I use an Aquarian Super Kick II clear head on the batter side. The resonant side has the original coated ambassador head with a Remo Muffle ring mounted on the inside.  This brought down the fundamental pitch/frequency of the drum.  Bass drum is a 16" x16", small tom is a 9" x 10", the floor tom is an 11" x 13".
