Salt City Drums, maple shell 6" x 14"

 

 I bought this drum because of its odd size; a 6" depth maple shell, which really makes the instrument a true cross-over, right in between the 5 1/2" and a 6 1/2".  Also, its hard to see in the photo, but that is an orange sparkle lacquer finish.  I believe that the drum builder used Premier snare drum lugs, and the throw off an butt plate or of some type I have never seen before.  Really a stunning and very all around practical drum for all types of playing.
