1960's Ludwig modified "Super-Sensitive", steel shell, 6 1/2" x 14"

 

I bought this keystone badge drum in at music shop that was going out of business.  It originally was outfitted with a super sensitive type snare mechanism, but I had that removed and replaced with a standard one-sided throw off.  Once I tuned this drum up, it sounded fabulous, and it has always stayed in tune and resonant in every situation.  This drum needs absolutely no maintenance, and I’m almost afraid to replace the Legacy batter head…I might not be able to duplicate the drum’s incredible sound it has right now!
